UNITED NATIONS — The United States on Tuesday demanded the sacking of a UN human rights expert for "noxious" comments claiming there had been a US cover-up over the September 11 attacks.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned the comments by Richard Falk, UN special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, as "an affront" to the victims of the 2001 Al-Qaeda attacks on New York and Washington.

The US ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, called Falk's views "despicable and deeply offensive" and said she had registered a protest and called for his dismissal.

Really? Why does the mainstream media hype this and print out of context quotes to support the attack on Falk?

We decided to read Falk's Blog and see exactly what he said and why it was so viciously opposed.

Interrogating the Arizona Killings from a Safe Distance

I spent a year in Sweden a few years after the assassination of Olaf Palme in 1986, the controversial former prime minister of the country who at the time of his death was serving as a member of the Swedish cabinet. He was assassinated while walking with his wife back to their apartment in the historic part of the city after attending a nearby movie. It was a shocking event in a Sweden that had prided itself on moderateness in politics and the avoidance of involvement in the wars of the twentieth century. A local drifter, with a history of alcoholism, was charged and convicted of the crime, but many doubts persisted, including on the part of Ms. Palme who analogized her situation to that of Coretta King who never believed the official version of her martyred husband’s death.

I had a particular interest in this national traumatic event as my reason for being in Sweden was a result of an invitation to be the Olaf Palme Professor, a rotating academic post given each year to a foreign scholar, established by the Swedish Parliament as a memorial to their former leader. (after the Social Democratic Party lost political control in Sweden this professorship was promptly defunded, partly because Palme was unloved by conservatives and partly because of a neoliberal dislike for public support of such activities)
In the course of my year traveling around Sweden I often asked those whom I met what was their view of the assassination, and what I discovered was that the responses told me more about them than it did about the public event. Some thought it was a dissident faction in the Swedish security forces long angered by Palme’s neutralist policies, some believed it was resentment caused by Palme’s alleged engineering of Swedish arms sales to both sides in the Iran-Iraq War of the 1980s, some believed it was the CIA in revenge for Palme’s neutralism during the Cold War, some believed it could have criminals in the pay of business tycoons tired of paying high taxes needed to maintain the Swedish maximalist version of a welfare state, and there were other theories as well. What was common to all of these explanations was the lack of evidence that might connect the dots. What people believed happened flowed from their worldview rather than the facts of the event—a distrust of the state, especially its secret operations, or a strong conviction that special interests hidden from view were behind prominent public events of this character.

In a way, this process of reflection is natural, even inevitable, but it leads to faulty conclusions. We tend to process information against the background of our general worldview and understanding, and we do this all the time as an efficient way of coping with the complexity of the world combined with our lack of time or inclination to reach conclusions by independent investigation. The problem arises when we confuse this means of interpreting our experience with an effort to provide an explanation of a contested public event. There are, to be sure, conspiracies that promote unacknowledged goals, and enjoy the benefit of government protection. We don’t require WikiLeaks to remind us not to trust governments, even our own, and others that seem in most respects to be democratic and law-abiding. And we also by now should know that governments (ab)use their authority to treat awkward knowledge as a matter of state secrets, and criminalize those who are brave enough to believe that the citizenry needs to know the crimes that their government is committing with their trust and their tax dollars.

The arguments swirling around the 9/11 attacks are emblematic of these issues. What fuels suspicions of conspiracy is the reluctance to address the sort of awkward gaps and contradictions in the official explanations that David Ray Griffin(and other devoted scholars of high integrity) have been documenting in book after book ever since his authoritative The New Pearl Harbor in 2004 (updated in 2008). What may be more distressing than the apparent cover up is the eerie silence of the mainstream media, unwilling to acknowledge the well-evidenced doubts about the official version of the events: an al Qaeda operation with no foreknowledge by government officials. Is this silence a manifestation of fear or cooption, or part of an equally disturbing filter of self-censorship? Whatever it is, the result is the withering away of a participatory citizenry and the erosion of legitimate constitutional government. The forms persist, but the content is missing.

This brings me to the Arizona shootings, victimizing both persons apparently targeted for their political views and random people who happened to be there for one reason or another, innocently paying their respects to a congresswoman meeting constituents outside a Tucson supermarket. As with the Palme assassination, the most insistent immediate responses come from the opposite ends of the political spectrum, both proceeding on presuppositions rather than awaiting evidence.

On one side are those who say that right-wing hate speech and affection for guns were clearly responsible, while Tea Party ultra-conservatives and their friends reaffirm their rights of free speech, denying that there is any connection between denouncing their adversaries in the political process and the violent acts of a deranged individual seemingly acting on his own. If we want to be responsible in our assessments, we must restrain our political predispositions, and get the evidence. Let us remember that what seems most disturbing about the 9/11 controversy is the widespread aversion by government and media to the evidence that suggests, at the very least, the need for an independent investigation that proceeds with no holds barred.
Such an investigation would contrast with the official ‘9/11 Commission’ that proceeded with most holds barred. What has been already disturbing about the Arizona incident are these rival rushes to judgment without bothering with evidence. Such public irresponsibility polarizes political discourse, making conversation and serious debate irrelevant.

There is one more issue raised, with typical candor and innocence, by the filmmaker, Michael Moore. If a Muslim group has published a list of twenty political leaders in this country, and put crosshairs of a gun behind their pictures, is there any doubt that the Arizona events would be treated as the work of a terrorist,, and the group that had pre-identified such targets would be immediately outlawed as a terrorist organization. Many of us, myself included, fervently hoped, upon hearing the news of the shootings, that the perpetrator of this violence was neither a Muslim nor a Hispanic, especially an illegal immigrant. Why? Because we justly feared the kind of horrifying backlash that would have been probably generated by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sarah Palin, and their legion of allies. Now that the apparent perpetrator is a young white American, the talk from the hate mongers, agains without bothering with evidence, is of mental disorder and sociopathology. This is faith-based pre-Enlightenment ‘knowledge.’

What must we learn from all of this? Don’t connect dots without evidence. Don’t turn away as soon as the words ‘conspiracy theory’ are uttered, especially if the evidence does point away from what the power-wielders want us to believe. Don’t link individual wrongdoing, however horrific, to wider religious and ethnic identities. We will perish as a species if we don’t learn soon to live together better on our beautiful, globalizing, and imperiled planet.

The media does not see fit to print statements like these from his post:

The obvious reason for the overblown and irrational response to remarks like Falk's is that the people in power HAVE something to hide or fear. Is it the truth? Because that is all that is being sought.

Two Keys

The ship in the photo is the U.S.S. Mauna Loa (AE-8), a munitions ship, taken in September 1944 as it left port in San Francisco, headed for the South Pacific. What you will not find in any record is that the Mauna Loa mysteriously vanished for a period of five days - from November 10th 1944 until November 15th 1944. When it left San Francisco, it was carrying a crate of cargo that was not part of the manifest of munitions out of Port Chicago. The crate was loaded at the Mare Island Navy Yard in San Francisco, and along with the crate was a Seaman named Peter Black, who was not listed as crew on the ship. Peter Black was not his real name either. He was there on a specific mission - to deliver the crate and its contents. Read the whole story here.

Bush Shoe Attack - Inside Job?

U.S. President George Bush had to quickly duck two flying shoes while at a press conference in Baghdad this week. Analysis of the video leads the LOST Gunman to believe that Bush had knowledge of the incident prior to the attack. "His ability to duck the shoes in such a quick way is inconsistent with his recorded reflexes" said Professor Caractacus Potts of M.I.T. Our own analysis of the videotape confirms that based on the velocity of the shoes and the good aim of the Iraqi journalist, there is little chance that Bush could have got out of the way in time without prior knowledge that the event was going to happen. Junior correspondent Abner Middleman of the Milwaukee Tribune says he overheard Bush earlier in the day talking about shoes and duck. Middleman said: "You can draw your own conclusions." Why would Bush create this attack on himself? Well, it's really a great way to end his presidency on a lighter note and what better place to do it? Remember - you read it here first.

We are out on a little archeological expedition today, trying to find something that may still be hidden underground just off the shore of Lake Ontario, hidden under where this building used to be around 60 years ago. We are close to finding the location, but a lot has changed in over 60 years. I guess we should be happy that there is not a Walmart or a Costco there now and that there is still an open field.

They did a pretty good job of removing everything though. There may be a connection between this place and another mysterious place we are investigating - we are trying to find that link.

As usual we need to be very careful as I am sure we are being watched. Hope we don't end up like these guys - missing!

If you want to know where we are looking, you will need a very old map and 'X' marks the spot.

Maybe we can find out what happened to these guys too.

Dead monster washes up on beach in Montauk NY!

A strange creature washed up on the shore at Montauk, NY this past week. Could it be from strange experiments still going on at Camp Hero? Is it from the USDA Animal Disease Center at Plum Island? Was it thrown through a time rift from the distant past or future? Is it a genetic experiment by the new Dharma Initiative?

One thing is for sure - we have not seen something even remotely like this anywhere around here.

Hidden Message

The passengers of Flight 029 have infiltrated the Silent Creek Juvenile Detention Center in the Mohave Desert and found a wrecked empty cabin where AJ had been held captive by the feared Widmore 6. AJ managed to leave a few clues there which may lead us to where they have taken him. One clue was the Chinese symbol for water. Another clue is the new Dharma Initiative symbol, a third clue being that wood has been arranged in the window in the shape of letters: an 'N' and an 'R'. This may be the most important clue. It makes sense that the Widmore 6 would be involved with the New Dharma Initiative, but how does N.R. and the Chinese Symbol for Water lead us to AJ?

Silent Creek

We were contacted by SM this week. AJ is being held at the Silent Creek Juvenile Detention Center in the Mohave Desert. We can get in by using an old underground network of tunnels that starts from the old abandoned Scotty's Airport, and ends up right under the Detention Center. There is a single locked steel door that needs to be opened which is right under Highway 267. If we can get that door open, we can get into the detention center unnoticed.

Boston - 1880

Traveling on OWA Flight 029 from London to Idlewild in 1961, we have been catapulted in space and time to Boston, MA in 1880. Staying in Room 217 at the Old Howard Hotel, we found an envelope hidden under a loose floorboard with a photograph of a ship. The photo is obviously not from 1880 but much later - in the 1950's or 1960's we guess.

At the same time, one of our passengers is missing. We heard a scuffle coming from Agrillo's room and when we went to see what was going on, we saw two men throwing him into a Hansom Cab and driving off. We were not able to follow. We need to find our next destination, new clues and Agrillo.

An interesting discovery...

Following a tip, we traveled to a location in Canada, where we found an old metal box with some interesting things inside, including a pair of antique binoculars, a toy plane, an old newspaper and an old film among other items. The box is an old ammo box and looks like it had been undisturbed for at least 15 years. It was exactly where we were told it would be. We need to stabilize the film before we can view the contents.

Levitation, Teleportation & Time Travel

If it sounds like Science Fiction, you are half right. The Science half, not the Fiction.

We have been hard at work back at our favorite research institute near Kamloops, BC and have uncovered some pretty fascinating stuff.

We have found solid evidence that the experiment known as the "Philadelphia Experiment" in October 1943 did NOT in fact involve the U.S.S. Eldridge (DE-173) as most people believe, but a ship named IX-97 or "Martha's Vineyard". The Eldridge was part of a government disinformation campaign that seems to have worked for over 60 years.

The logs of the Eldridge show that it was in New York harbor in October 1943, when the Philadelphia Experiment took place and that it was decommissioned in 1946 and transferred to Greece in 1951 where she sailed as the H.S. Leon. The ship was sold for scrap in 1999.

IX-97 however was commissioned in March 1943 with Lt. William W. Boyton USNR in command, and was logged in the area where the Philadelphia Experiment took place in October 1943. The IX-97 was involved in 'Test Operations' along the New England coast from 1943-1946 and also "Training Exercises" off Newport, RI.

The IX-97 was stripped in April 1946 and returned to its "owner" in September 1946, although there is no further record of the vessel, therefore no way to examine it, unlike the Eldridge/Leon which was easily tracked up until 1999.

While everyone has been studying and investigating the U.S.S. Eldridge and it has become an urban legend of sorts, the real Philadelphia Experiment ship 'vanished' while nobody even cared to look.

Is your printer spying on you?

Sound unbelievable? It's not. Major printer manufacturers have designed their printers to print an almost invisible sequence of dots on every printout that can be used to trace the printout back to the printer.

Who asked for this? It was at the request of the U.S. Secret Service ostensibly to combat conterfeiting, but obviously it can be used for other purposes.

Computers and Aircraft - How well do they mix?

It's interesting how you either don't hear about these stories, or how they quickly disappear.

- Malaysian Air 777 - In flight upset...

The latest computer technology built into aircraft can do some amazing things, but is it also something that can lead to disaster?

Providing internet to passengers on the new Boeing 787 makes it theoretically possible to hack into the flight controls using a laptop in the cabin, because the same network is used for both. Although Boeing insists that controls are in place to make sure information cannot be passed back and forth, we know better.

Imagine a scenario where a teenager in economy class decides to take the aircraft to Fiji instead of Hawaii. Some of the teenagers today have probably perfected their skills on Flight Simulator and other computer games to the point where if they took control of the plane, they just might be able to do it.

The worse scenario would be for someone with more nefarious motives to hack in.

Oceanic Flight 815 found

Well they did it!

Not long after Oceanic Airlines announced that the search for Flight 815 was completed and that they would be declaring all the passengers dead, the Sydney Morning Herald of December 24th 2004 reported that Flight 815 had been found in the Sunda Trench and had been video taped by robotic deep sea submersibles.

These guys must have access to Portal #S-01. We all know what happened in the Sunda Trench on December 26th 2004. Yup - the huge earthquake and tsunami. Anyone going looking to confirm the findings reported of the Flight 815 wreckage after the 26th will not find anything and it is explainable as the ocean floor opened up and 'swallowed' the wreckage.

You gotta give these guys credit for ingenuity.

Looking back

Steve Dorland - one of the three LOST Gunmen, has been working on a very cool idea for several years. He figured one day while looking up at the stars that since we were actually looking at the stars way back in the past (due to the amount of time it takes light from them to reach earth) that if we were up there looking back at the earth, then we would be looking at the earth in the past. He figured that with the right technology - high definition imaging - you could zoom in like a spy satellite and actually look into the past - ex: see who was really on the grassy knoll in November 1963 and what they did.

The project - called Project Magist-6 had one problem - light from 1963 leaves the earth at 186,282.397 miles per second, meaning that by 2008, it would be - well 45 light years from earth. It would take another 45 years to return that light to earth under normal conditions, not to mention the issue of capturing the image. So the project seemed doomed to failure, then in 2004 we unexpectedly discovered an earth radio transmission from 1945 from radio station WXR, which seemed to be originating from Meissa - a star in the Orion group - approx 1000 light years from earth.

The transmission was originating from a star 1000 light years away. How could a transmission from 1945 travel 1000 light years to Meissa and 1000 light years back to earth in only 59 years? Logic would say it would take 2000 years!

Something was providing a shortcut - and what a shortcut! It meant that the transmission was originating from Meissa in approx 1004 A.D. !!! - over 900 years BEFORE it ever happened!

Malcolm called it the Todd Effect (after Mrs. Todd's Shortcut). Yup - Malcolm is a Stephen King nut.

Our challenge would be to find other portals that matched the time period we wanted to look at. It was like a radio where the dial is fixed to a single station. The Meissa Portal only fed us information from 59 years ago. We needed to find one that would be tuned to 1963 or whatever other time that we wanted to look at. Stevie made it his obsession to find other portals and he virtually shut himself in the lab for 3 years working on it. He discovered 5 additional portals - providing information from 127 years ago, 71 years ago, 20 years ago, 2 years ago and 1 year in the future!

Malcolm spent a great deal of time capturing both audio and video images from the portals. We were only able to capture a small sample of recorded video data due to the huge storage requirements. We were able to record more audio as it required considerably less storage.

There is some interesting stuff. Talk about a new way of learning history - it is like being there!

For those of you who do not know us - we are The LOST Gunmen, and we are dedicated to seeking out the truth and exposing those that try to hide the truth from us all.

There is a huge conspiracy going on about the disappearance of Oceanic Flight 815. We have been working undercover for the past six months investigating the people we think are involved with this conspiracy - and let me tell you - it is huge.

We will publish all that we find here at 'The LOST Gunman' - our online conspiracy-busting blog - for as long as we are able.

There is a good chance that we will get shut down, as the people behind this are very powerful, but if we do, we will find a way to get the word out, as we did when our website was shut down last year.
